Libby Cathey

Libby Cathey is currently an on-air reporter at 10TV in Columbus, Ohio. She is also writing a book of essays.

Prior to joining Channel 10, she worked as a Political Reporter at CBS News, regularly appearing on CBS 24/7.

 

Before that, she covered the 2024 presidential primaries and the 2022 midterm elections as a Politics Reporter/Producer at ABC News, traveling the country as a “one-woman band” to chase candidates and interview voters. Her work as an "embed" was featured in Power Trip, a documentary series on Hulu produced by George Stephanopoulos.

Libby's career also includes positions as a Talent and Travel Coordinator at The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Los Angeles and as a Local News Editor at Snapchat in New York.

She holds a Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University, where she graduated third in her class. She is also a summa cum laude graduate of New York University, where she gained hands-on experience interning at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, NBC's TODAY Show, SiriusXM Radio, and KATV News in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Her academic journey includes studying art history in Florence, Italy, and journalism in Accra, Ghana, while at NYU. A proud graduate of Little Rock Central High School, Libby is also an Arkansas Razorbacks superfan and a lover of all fried foods.
