Libby Cathey

Libby Cathey is a Campaign Reporter/Producer at ABC News. She covered the 2022 midterm elections -- as seen on Hulu's "Power Trip" -- and is back on the road for the 2024 presidential cycle.

Prior to ABC, she worked as a Talent and Travel Coordinator at The Ellen DeGeneres Show in Los Angeles and as a Local News Editor at Snapchat in New York. 

 

Libby finished third in her class at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism and was awarded a Joseph Pulitzer Traveling Fellowship. She graduated summa cum laude from New York University and interned at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, TODAY Show, SiriusXM Radio and KATV News in Little Rock, Arkansas.

 

She studied abroad in Florence, Italy, and in Accra, Ghana, where her capstone on community radio was nominated for a Hearst Award in Enterprise Reporting.

 

The proud Little Rock Central High School graduate is an Arkansas Razorbacks super fan and fried foods enthusiast.
